As there was an unexpected vehicle strike on that day a few camp members had to leave early after lunch at 1.00 pm. Most of the remaining camp members then visited the Rescue Home, Pratheeksha Bhavan and Old Age Home at Tavanur, at 3.10 pm. The objective of this field trip was to promote direct experience and observation learning, and to familiarize with the seamy side of the community. The camp members had a friendly interaction with the inmates of these institutions. They returned to the camp at 6.10 pm and with a final volley of cultural activities, the camp was dispersed. To sum up, the camp was first of all a great experience. The approach and attitude of the people in and around Thunchan Paramba was very cordial. They will always be remembered with love. Though it was raining heavily all the time and there was an unexpected vehicle strike on the third day of the camp it could not dampen the spirit of the camp members. However, time management was a drawback. The workshop on Educational Theatre, for example was charted to, for three hours duration but it consumed not less than six hours. Other than that the camp as indeed a success. It was a miniature community with duties and rights assigned to every one and every one did his/ her best for the smooth working of the community.
